The setting
A meadow that happens to hold memories
Set among the old hedgerows and oak woodland of the Lynher Valley, our ground looks out across the estuary and the quiet countryside beyond. Families come back to it season after season — to walk, to sit a while, and to remember someone in a place that feels alive.
Plots are set into the open wildflower meadow, allocated in a gentle sequence that allows the landscape to rest and regenerate naturally over time

Looking ahead
Long-term site management
Churchtown Natural Burial Ground is nestled within the beautiful Churchtown Farm Nature Reserve. The land is owned and cared for by the Antony Estate and features long-established public footpaths and permissive access rights — the area is protected to remain open to the public far into the future.
Our vision & timeline
The burial ground is designed as an open meadow, managed in complete harmony with the surrounding nature reserve. The site will remain as a burial ground for 90 years from the date our first resident joins us.
Future-proof funding
To ensure the land is cared for forever, a dedicated maintenance fee is collected alongside every plot purchase (whether bought in advance or at the time of need). This money is set aside to cover:
- Ongoing habitat management and mowing
- Site insurance
- Long-term maintenance after the site is full and closed
The far future
Once the burial ground officially closes, its long-term management will seamlessly transition to either the Churchtown Farm Nature Reserve or the Antony Estate land management team, ensuring the meadow remains a protected, peaceful sanctuary.
